Facilitation Training

Our Psilocybin Facilitator Training Program

In November 2020, Oregon voters approved Measure 109, directing the Oregon Health Authority to establish a regulated framework for psilocybin services. This program created a pathway for trained facilitators to support individuals in supervised psilocybin experiences within the state of Oregon.

Oregon’s psilocybin services model builds on decades of research exploring the potential safety and therapeutic applications of psilocybin, offering a structured and regulated environment for this emerging field.

Subtle Winds Facilitator Training was one of the state-licensed programs approved to provide training for individuals seeking to become psilocybin facilitators in Oregon. At this time, we are not offering facilitator training. We remain committed to supporting education, awareness, and the continued development of this work.

Subtle Winds continues to offer workshops, CEU and CME opportunities, and new ways to engage with psychedelic education. Join our network to stay connected and be part of what comes next.

About our growing team of experts in the field

Since the psychedelic revolution of the 60’s, recreational psychedelic use has been commonplace at music festivals and events across the world. Unfortunately, the lack of appropriate standardized dosing recommendations, quality control of purity and strength, use of multiple substances simultaneously by individuals, and a lack of support for individuals who choose to take psychedelics, sometimes results in individuals experiencing negative and even potentially life-threatening consequences from the recreational use of psychedelics in these environments.

Our team comes out of a long tradition of festival medicine and crisis support here in Oregon, stretching back to 70’s rock concerts like the Grateful Dead and festivals like the Oregon Country Fair. The harm reduction model that emerged from these spaces blends psychological, spiritual, and socially grounded approaches with practical safety protocols—meeting people where they are, and intervening when necessary in an appropriate fashion.

While we are no longer offering facilitator training, Subtle Winds remains active in the field. Drawing on decades of experience in psilocybin facilitation and education, our team continues to support individuals, professionals, and organizations working within Oregon’s psilocybin services framework through workshops, continuing education (CEU/CME), and consultation—helping to guide safe, informed, and thoughtful practice.

The Subtle Winds Facilitator Training Program was a state-approved psilocybin facilitator training program in Oregon, developed to prepare facilitators for work within the state’s regulated psilocybin services framework. The program emphasized safety, professionalism, and thoughtful care within this emerging field.

We met and advanced Oregon’s guidelines for psilocybin facilitation, creating a curriculum that combined regulatory standards with a personalized, human-centered approach—equipping facilitators to meet individuals where they are.
