The place is the thing.
Set and Setting: Subtle Winds is currently seeking a property that will meet the requirements to operate a licensed psilocybin therapy facility. The organizers are currently exploring several possible locations that are in rural areas away from the noise and distractions of the urban environment. Zoning requirements and variances are being investigated for appropriate zoning and OHA rules are still in draft form. Our plan is to develop a service center here in Eugene and then spread outward into a rural location in Lane County.
The focus on location/setting for this type of treatment is key to creating a healing atmosphere for our participants. Our group believes that access to the grounding effects of the natural environment will be crucial to maximize the healing potential of psilocybin treatment.
The facility will accommodate both the individual counseling sessions and small group work necessary for the psilocybin assisted sessions and for pre/post treatment sessions. Subtle Winds will offer both residential weekend retreats and day treatment options to the individuals we are supporting in this work.
Our vision is to create a space where facilitators can curate a menu of possible options for experiences (music, environments, activities, etc…) so that each person we serve is empowered to co-create the perfect experience for themselves.
